As a framed Àwòrán,
My mind stands still before my eyes,
Like a breathing Àwòrán,
I look into my eyes…
and my mind says “hi”.
Frame by frame,
My life I scroll before my eyes,
Frame by frame,
My heart reports its log on the table of my mind.
Like a movie,
My life I watch,
Like series,
To ‘my life’ I got stuck.
Scenes of great and strange feats I see,
In wonder I behold me and I can’t scream,
“Is this me?”, in disbelief I stare at me,
Like ‘Segun’ it looks…
Or more like ‘Ade’,
But I it is, my mind told me.
At this, on me I ponder,
‘cos Dígí no dey tell lie.
If only we all could see our selves the we truly are, I guess the world will be a better place.
