Tonight, the ancient town of Osogbo beams with excitement as the ambience is set for this year’s Osun-Osogbo Festival coming up today, 26th August, 2011.

Tourists have milled into the town in throngs from different locations all over the world, and they’re well confident of the fact that they won’t go back to their homes without breathing an air of fulfilment.

There are signs that the government have given the Osun grove a little facelift, starting with the road leading to the grove, as well as substantial clearing of unwanted debris around the grove to ensure cleanliness of the surrounding and the Osun River itself.

A representative of Naijatreks is on location and will be giving us full details of the ceremony next week, with wonderful photos to wet our appetites.

We are proud and glad to be a part of this long-standing event that proudly celebrates the Yoruba culture in the face of the world.
