Ever captured the splash of Creek Waters at Sunset?

Post 180 of 232

A twin-engine boat speeds through the creeks like an excited cheater, spraying sheets of saline water along its trail. The sun is approaching its set, and the firmament has now worn a lilac lipstick. The low mangroves smile with delight having been fed bountifully from the day’s solar shower. The tide is gradually climbing, and a juvenile water snake swims across a narrow creek. A mona monkey hops from one tall tree to another. Two Squirrels battling over a palm fruit are suddenly startled by a boat passing by; and at the passionate beauty of the splashed waters, they stare in wonder.

All the fauna of Niger Delta stand and applaud, in pride of the magnificence of their home land, which is again electrified by the fire of today’s sunset. Everyday, they proclaim only one message to us all: “In the belly of this Delta lie grander golds than the black gold for which we destroy it”.

Speak up for the peace of Niger Delta, speak up for Naija Tourism!
