I read the note 'A letter from a mùmú to a mùmú' by folarin kolawole', fell in love with it and decided to play Àṣàké. Below is Àṣàké response:

Àlabí mi ὸwón, amólára Okònrin, Bòbó mí àtàtà, ọkàn mí n fà sí ẹ.

Àlabí, I want to tell you about the kábíyèsí’s son. His name is ‘Làjà- Adélàjà. He saw me at the village square during the ọdún Obì. He promised to marry me

Àlabí, you know I am your mùmú. You know I will die for you. Sùgbón, ‘Làjà is buying me àdìrẹ and ìlẹkẹ. Every day. My pupils call me “Olorì ‘lóla”

Àlabí I want to be Olorì o.
Jòwó f’èsì sí ìwé mi yí.

    Àṣàké, tí ẹ ní tòótó.

A Kenyan and Egusi soup- “I couldn’t but lick my fingers!”

I know by the time you hit the end of this post you’ll definitely say this Kenyan girl has gone “kolo” but I can’t help it.  I just love Nigerians and the most shocking part of it is that every time I think of them I think about their food – hot and spicy and [...]
